We have a reliable, trustworthy, honest and hard-working team who like the variety of the work the company does, which includes retaining walls, excavations, structural piling repairs, foundations and piling, subdivisions, alterations and extensions, and new house builds.

 

We don’t work during bad weather but we try to have indoors work during the winter if we can and there is always work to do around the yard if you are happy to help out in a variety of ways. We generally finish at 4pm on Fridays and only work on Saturdays if a job or aspect of the work needs finishing. We usually have between 2 to 3 jobs on at the same time in order to ensure that there is always work for our staff.

 

Our main yard is based in Porirua and the office and another yard in Raumati. We work in Porirua, Wellington and the Hutt Valley but generally not on the Kapiti Coast due to the logistics of having jobs spread out within what would be a too larger area.

 

We take health and safety very seriously and expect everyone to contribute, be aware of and do everything they can to ensure our workplace is as safe as possible. We have regular health and safety and toolbox meetings.

 

We pay our staff based on their experience and ability and give regular pay rises based on performance. We also have an on-going training plan in order to help our staff develop and acquire new skills, keep first aid and other certification up to date, and obtain additional driving license classes.

 

We expect all staff to be courteous and tidily dressed in company-labelled his-vis gear which is provided. Our clients are residential and we are generally working in their home environment. Our clients often comment on our good communication and friendly, hard-working staff.

• own transport and a full driver’s license (a must)

• at least a few years' building experience

• a team player

• hard-working and reliable

• fit and healthy

• able to fill in a health & safety plan

• a professional approach to clients

• good communication skills.

We are willing to train the right person if they have some of the skills above and the right attitude.

​

Hourly rate based on experience with regular performance reviews.
